Original Hand-inked wildlife artwork created with old school dip pen and brush.
While most pieces from Running Duck Studio are black and white whimsical or wildlife orientated, each year a different focus is selected. This year I am experimentation with adding a splash of colour to the sweeping movement, like with these Rainbow Lorikeets.
Living in Australia the wildlife subject matter for my animal art is extensive but I will also travel the world with species so if you have any requests please share them. Starting with Australia, as they say, home is where the heart is :)
My artworks are about movement and light and capturing the essence of the subject. Hence there is no photorealism, we have cameras for that. And you will always find a hint of cartoon from my years drawing for Walt Disney.
