Artwork Description

In 2012 I travelled to Myanmar after the country opened its borders to the West after more than half a century of military rule and explored downtown Yangon and life in the backstreets. There are many remnants from colonial times and this is one of them. Sadly many have disappeared due to lack of funding. However, UNESCO and many other countries are funding the renovation of many signifact buildings from colonial times to preserve them for future generations. This image is one of a set of two.
