Artist's Description
A Ray of Light is a watercolour piece influenced by a wonderful Japanese artist I very much admire - Yuko Nagayama. I have freely applied watercolour with large brushes and buckets of water to achieve the wonderful free effects which can be achieved with this great medium when you allow it to have its own way. There is some lovely lace stencilling in the cloth and jug and I have used a light and bright colour scheme of pinks, greys and greens to represent the joy of the blooming of spring and how exciting to be able to display some colourful blossoms on your windowsill. This is part of the series in this style of works.
As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality paper for my watercolours, pastels and drawings.
