This piece was painted during the winter in North-East Victoria. It is an exploration of the relationship between the sky and the landscape. The contrast between the two is highlighted by the differing styles. Where the clouds take a much more realist approach the ground is far more impressionist. However, there are also similarities between the two in terms of the shapes. The flower on the grounds offer a reflection of the clouds above as if it were the ocean reflecting the sky.
