Charming Gardeners (Marcel Proust)
“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” ? Marcel Proust
“Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”
? A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks. Plutarch
I wanted to express the whimsy and tenderness felt when gratitude is given and received. Also, to pay homage to those charming gardeners who give and receive as much pleasure in their garden as I do, representing Nature's riot.
As Proust says, it makes souls blossom. Thank you!
