At the drop of the sun, soft gossamer wings beat, silver threads of sound, ghosts upon the light.
In the Evening song, the lush verdue of night, I espied these velvet wings, smudges of kaleidoscopic delight.

I had an uncle who was an Entomologist. I was always fascinated by his specimen table, like a coffee table, but filled with an array of spectacular insects, butterflies, and moths. All under glass, just out of reach, but delightful to my child self! I wanted to capture the subtle beauty of the moth.
You won't find this one in any field guide however, it is purely pulled from my imagination.
