"When I was still very young, I opened my arms to purity.
It was only a beating of wings in the sky of my eternity...
it was not then possible for me to fall." Paul Eluard
Like a forgotten fire, a childhood can always flare up again within us. This painting is a re-imagining of the reveries of a solitary child. A passage of ephemeral impressions, painted over three days. A red pointer in the left hand panel starts the narrative. Here a winged Abraxas draws down arcane messages from the sky. In the second panel, leaving the shadow of the first night behind, a glimpse of lucent mountain and shadowed ravine. The third panel with the daemon holding earth and heaven together ends with the profile of the artist who overlooks this dream.
