Drawing inspiration from having designed a few gardens, this interpretation has been a joy to paint. Recalling where I’d want certain bulbs planted and what colour schemes I would have them all pop up in. Planting bluebells and daffodils around the Crab Apple Tree having the contrast of yellow and blue under a mass of strawberry pink and white just to give you an example.
One particular garden saw a large pond was created which has been interpreted in the painting with one pink shape indicating a water lily.
Plenty of sketches, lines, arrows and little notes describing how I want the gardens around the pond to feel and look and to be enjoyed.
