One of my many jobs years ago was as a musician. I played some amazing gigs, but found I lost the love of creating/playing music as each town and pub started to feel that same. I realised I wasn't cut out for life on the road and preferred to play my guitar to the sky, and sometimes my dogs. The feelings of playing a loved tune with some friends whilst camping is where I was inspired for this piece. I tried to create a sense of life in the sky as if it was responding the the sound of the guitar... The rest of the orchestra is in the mind.
I used a specific high quality canvas with environmentally sustainable pine backing. This canvas allows me to create realistic and detailed charcoal art pieces.
