Artist's Description
These works are about serenity. I explore a membrane, behind which stark trees parade. I open windows and invite the image. The language is the same as seen in the cloud, though more elaborate. Often I don’t know if I should define these gestures – profiles, figures, animals, human faces. By painting them in I am chiselling the causal veil, whose very nature is equivocal and variable. The ambiguity of abstraction is immensely more satisfying. It was Kandinsky who said, “The more abstract its form, the more clear and direct its appeal.”
