Aerial photograph taken above Shark Bay World Heritage area in Western Australia. Taken from a light plane at an altitude of approximately 2500 feet. I have found shooting at this height to be the ideal altitude. It is high enough to begin abstracting the landscape but not so high as to begin to lose important detail.
This is part of a series of aerial photographs from the Shark Bay region. My vision was to use the elements of colour, pattern, shape, texture and light to create images of great depth and ambiguity.
They were all taken using high-end Canon equipment to produce images of the highest quality and are printed on Ilford archival photographic paper for superb colour reproduction.
